Mary Noel
Mary Noel sees science as the catalyst for change. As an senior consultant, she partners with clients to guide research and analytic workstreams.
Recently, Mary has driven the creation of multi-disciplinary environmental footprint and benchmarking analyses for a family office, major packaging manufacturer, international apparel company, and a global retailer.
Before Blu Skye, Mary worked at the National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC), where she linked drought severity to impacts at the state level. In August 2020, The Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society (BAMS) published Mary’s research. She was also a co-author of Ready for Drought? A Community Resilience Role-Playing Game in the peer reviewed journal Water.
Mary holds an M.S. in Natural Resource Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a B.S. in Earth Science with concentrations in Sustainable Environments and Soil Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Outside the office — Mary enjoys competing as a distance runner, tending to her garden, and exploring California trails with her husband and dog.
