With over 20 years of consulting experience, Eric has successfully designed and implemented a wide range of strategies and initiatives, including corporate reporting; supplier assessments and improvement plans; eco-indexes and scorecards; stakeholder engagement; product, material, and packaging improvements; employee, supplier and consumer education; business simulation and gamification; regulatory compliance; and media and public outreach and communication.
Prior to launching Shift Advantage, Eric spent seven years as Sustainability Business Integration Manager at Nike and three years as Sustainability Director at Nau, a technical outdoor and urban clothing company recognized for its innovative sustainability practices.
Eric has taken leadership roles in many industry collaboratives and non-profit organizations to create industry standards, develop tools, provide content expertise, and cultivate quantifiable change. His roles have included Founding Executive Committee Member with the GreenBlue Sustainable Packaging Coalition; Corporate Partner with the EPA SmartWay Program; Benchmarking and Standards Development with BSR’s Ethical Sourcing Working Group, Standards Development and Rollout Team with the Sustainable Water Working Group; and Corporate Partner with the Climate Savers Program.
Outside the office — Eric enjoys sampling Portland’s wide array of globally inspired food options, hiking, and putting on skis or snowshoes for winter months’ mountain adventures.
