Tom works with CEO's and their teams inside some of the world’s best companies to develop inspiring visions, clarify and align behind strategy, and build high performing teams and cultures. With over 25 years of consulting and management experience, Tom serves as a trusted advisor to a number of CEO’s and supports them on major strategic initiatives and transformation efforts.
Tom served as the CEO of Blu Skye Sustainability Consultants from early 2009 to September 2010. Prior to that, Tom was the co-founder and Managing Partner of The Trium Group, a leadership and strategy consulting firm. His client work has spanned various industries and geographies and is focused on: vision and strategy development, organization design, governance, executive team effectiveness, leadership development and building high performing organizations. Tom uses a broad range of tools and practices to help clients create solutions that work and design/drive initiatives that produce results. Tom has led significant engagements with top management teams inside AXA, Banana Republic, Bank of America, Barclays Global Investors, Cisco, Coach, Conservation International, Gap, Genentech, Home Depot, eBay, Kaiser Permanente, Lufthansa, Nokia, and Royal Bank of Canada.
Prior to co-founding Trium in 1998, Tom was the President of a consulting firm focused on leadership assessment and development, and culture change. Earlier, he was a Principal with A.T. Kearney, where he helped establish and grow the firm's West Coast Financial Institutions practice into the leading FI practice in the region. He also led several intellectual capital initiatives and won an award for his contribution to the firm's thought leadership. After leading strategic initiatives for a major division of American Express, Tom began his consulting career in Europe with OC&C Strategy Consultants, a McKinsey/Bain spin-off.
Tom has a B.A. in International Studies from the University of the Pacific. He received a Certificate of Proficiency in French Language and Economics and studied the business curriculum at the Ecole Superieure de Commerce in France. He has lectured on leadership issues, high performance teaming, and culture change at the Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley and the Graduate School of Business at Stanford. Tom lives in the Bay Area, where on weekends he can be found cycling, hiking Mt. Tamalpais with his family or training for his next triathlon.
