Mary’s adventurous spirit is contagious and fuels her unconventional thinking towards fostering healthy, sustainable communities by inspiring active citizenship.
Mary has a B.S. in Environmental Earth & Soil Science with a concentration of Sustainable Environments from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Recently, Mary returned from an excursion to Parque Patagonia, the cornerstone re-wilding project counseled by the Tompkins Conservation where an unlimited surplus of inspiration and guanacos coexist. Meanwhile back in the States, Mary is a graduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the School of Natural Resources where she's an affiliate at the National Drought Mitigation Center.
An accomplished distance runner with roots from Nebraska, Mary participated in Cross Country and Track & Field as a highly decorated NCAA Division I student-athlete. Outside the office, you can find Mary smothered in dirt from tending her garden, exploring the hiking trails of California, or wandering the Great Plains of Nebraska.
