Erin Billman

Erin has focused her career on working with organizations – both for-and non-profit – to best steward the natural world as a strategy toward long-term success. At Blu Skye, Erin has managed a diverse range of projects such as facilitating a US and China council of CEOs focused on environmental sustainability, acting as chief of staff and global communications lead for an international conservation group, partnering with an aluminum company on strategies to drive higher packaging recycling rates, advising the US battery industry on voluntary product stewardship, and helping Walmart on many of its sustainability strategies.

Prior to joining Blu Skye, Erin was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company. Between Blu Skye and Bain, she has over a decade of experience working with non-profit, retail, technology, healthcare, industrial, and buildings & energy sector clients on c-level strategy.

Erin’s work in sustainability began as an undergraduate intern, with activities ranging from rehabilitating orphaned hawks, to waist-deep mucking for pond turtles, to radio-tracking coyotes. During business school, she conducted a market study for an Amazonian NGO, applying a business approach to achieving sustainable livelihoods for its indigenous people.

Erin has a BS in Biology from Boston College where she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She received her MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Sustainable Business and the Environment. Outside of work, Erin enjoys exploring the Bay Area and beyond with her daughter and puppy. They can often be found hiking the local trails and camping under the stars.
