Blake Durtsche

Blake sees sustainability as a tool for catalyzing innovation and transformation across organizations, industries, and markets.  As a manager with Blu Skye, Blake partners with clients to develop and implement strategies that create business value while doing good for the world.

Blake’s most recent work is focused on helping a Fortune 300 energy company scale distributed generation solar across the US and internationally.  He is also managing the Sustainable Textiles Coalition (STC), which is developing a common approach for measuring the sustainability of home textile products.  Previously, Blake designed the beta version of the Higg Index for the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, developed and implemented a sustainability strategy for a major retailer, and supported the dairy industry in its work to increase anaerobic digester adoption.

Prior to joining Blu Skye, Blake spent four years as a strategy consultant with Deloitte Consulting where he served clients in the healthcare, insurance, and financial service industries.

Blake earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and received a BSB from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He serves as board chair for the nonprofit Bay Area Wilderness Training. Blake loves to travel with his wife and considers canoe camping in Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness one of his favorite places to vacation.
